Couple that with the fact that the high margin items (car stereos, etc.) have been replaced with Retro popcorn poppers and Rocketfish bluetooth adapters (that you are lucky to $.99 out of) and you no linger have a viable business. The prices people are paying are absolutely absurd. While I have had mild success with techliquidators, the biggest problem is on the site is the buyers. BER does not mean putting appliances in auctions that are obviously deemed as scrap metal!!!! I truly hope some Canadain buyes respond to me with their feelings. This will at least give us all a fighting chance!! TECH classifies the auctions as BER (beyond economical repair) those words still need to be said with integrity. I have expressed to techliquidators customer service (kulwinder) that all auctions regarding appliances should have a pic posted on the bidding page with the corresponding serial number. If there is enough of them thy will do an internal investigation and audit. If anyone from Canada feels the same way about this our only combat is to file complaints with the RCMP. There are ppl that work in the warehouse that have the inside information on auctions. If i want to bid a high amout and lets say $200 an appliance its just coincidence that I receive a good load of appliances? Being a bidder for over 3 years gives me the knowledge and knowhow to smell this corporation for what it is. I win an auction for $100 an appliance. The appliances I receive are absolutely worth about $50. Its also quite coincidental that the price you win the bid on inn most cases dictates the nature of condition of the appliances. Techliquidators has ppl bidding up the public. its imposssible to pay that amout per appliance (some of which are mini fridges etc less then $150 retain new in the box) plus the labour to fix them and any parts that need to be ordered in to fix the appliances. At those prices there will always be a loss. These numbers cant even make sence even to the most amature business man. Bidding prices started doing a major jump. So here we go about a year and a half later. It was a risk but I very rarely lost money in the flip and fix of things. They as always would come in various states of condition. 3 years ago when I started my business I could bid and win a load of 10 appliances for about $50 each. Let me start off by saying that I am a business in Ontario Canada.
